In September 2020, DNX (Digital News Exchange) featured LMI in its Homegrown series on Bacolod businesses.

2016: a team of three

The story starts in 2016. Engr. Axel Banay, an electronics and communications engineer, left a demanding telecom job and put his savings into starting LMI I.T. Solutions & Telecommunications. The team was three people, and he did the setup and cable connections himself, one client at a time. By the time of the feature, LMI had grown to about 20 people working on cabling, wireless networks, data centers, CCTV, solar and electrical work.

What has not changed

The feature highlighted integrity and quality service: being honest with clients about what they need, and what they do not. That is still how we work. It is why our prices are published, why every project ends with an acceptance test the client signs, and why we will tell you when a smaller solution is enough.

Ten years on

In 2021 the business incorporated as LMI Corporation. Today LMI is a PCAB-licensed contractor and managed service provider, with the One family of solutions and projects delivered from Luzon to Mindanao, still designed, built and supported from Bacolod.
